St. Josephs Music Choir currently has approximately 25 members. We boast a talented ensemble of instrumentalists, including drums, bass, piano, saxophone, violin, oboe, flute, conga, and of course, guitar. Our Music Choir signs at both the 9:00 am and 11:00 am Sunday Masses. The 11:00 am Mass is considered to be a Family Mass. Each choir member is assigned to their own individual stand and microphone.

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Our musical family ranges in ages from the 20’s to 70’s. We begin our rehearsals with prayer followed by vocal exercises and warm-ups. Then, we rehearse songs for the coming Mass or upcoming events. We do not require our vocalists to read music. However, music is taught throughout our rehearsals.

Though we do not consider ourselves an (SATB Choir), we pride ourselves in our ability to create unique and exciting vocal arrangements. This process is acquired through ear training and interval development exercises. Each singer is encouraged to be creative and may strive to become a soloist if the ability and desire presents itself. If you are creative, enjoy people, have a love for Christ and the church, have always wanted to be part of a dynamic musical ensemble, this could be your opportunity!
