The Mission of the Parish Development ministry is to create a sustainable, long-term plan for parish membership and participation as well as financial health of the St. Joseph’s community.
As a parish, through the generous donations of our community, we have no debt. At the same time, we do not have a long-range plan to insure the financial health of our parish. We also need to identify and implement strategies to insure “All are Welcome” in our parish. We are actively focused on both the short term financial needs of the parish e.g. the renovation of the Hall, and long term health by creating strategies for better inclusion of all members of our faith community.
In recent months, we have led the Annual Ministries Appeal for our Parish. Thanks to your generosity we have exceeded our goal with all additional dollars beyond our goal coming back to the parish. Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, we have encouraged parishioners to utilize on-line giving as the safe and secure way to support our parish, and thanks to the many people who already use this tool for their donations, many other parishioners have begun to donate electronically.
These are all great efforts on the part of our parishioners to support St. Joseph’s Catholic Community, but as we get through the pandemic, we will return to our work to renovate the Parish Hall. Prior to the shutdown, we had surveyed our ministries and begun preliminary discussions to get ballpark estimates for the renovation. We will pick up this work, as we are able to get back to normal and will keep everyone apprised of our progress. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.
