A Great Start to the School Year
Good Morning St. Joseph’s Families:
Religious Education class is this Thursday, September 26th, at 4:00 p.m., in our Parish Hall.
We had a great first day of class last Thursday! One of the highlights was coming together as a family to pray together. Each class, along with our parents, had the opportunity to go outside together and have a wonderful discussion about what prayer is. We all joined hands and prayed a special prayer, blessing our hands, for the new Religious Education year, and we also prayed for our Pastor, Father Wayne – who holds us near to his heart in prayer.
Our new Parent Corner was a huge success! For the parents and guardians who can stay during class, we have a special Parent Corner designed just for you in mind! This Parent Corner had an interactive discussion led by Sherry Cassidy, our Faith Formation Coordinator. The purpose of our Parent Corner is to help our parents grow in their faith, foster new friendships, and have some adult conversation (which we parents are hungry for!). So if you can, we invite you to come and join us!
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Religious Education - Begins Thurs, Sept 19th
The primary purpose of St. Joseph’s Religious Education Program is faith formation. Faith formation is an ongoing development of the whole
person into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. The Religious Education Program strives to provide a solid foundation in our faith, age-appropriate to the students in our program. Students are encouraged
to begin formal religion classes, starting in the First (1st) Grade and continuing through the Fifth (5th) Grade. We grow in our faith by participating together in these fun, faith-filled activities: Living Rosary,
Giving Thanks to the Lord, Works of Mercy Service projects, Christmas Carols, Stations of the Cross, and more. Religious Education classes meet Thursday afternoons, 4:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m., in the Parish Hall, starting Thursday, September 19th.
